Privacy Policy

Effective date: 29 August 2026 Last updated: 29 August 2026

Atum Trip respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal data when you visit https://atumtrip.com, contact us, request or make a booking, or receive our services.

1. Who we are

The data controller is:

Ahmed F. Sedkey, trading as Atum Trip Nubian Village, Aswan City, Aswan Governorate 18511, Egypt Email: atumtrip@gmail.com Telephone and WhatsApp: +20 101 178 0099 Website: https://atumtrip.com

2. Scope

This Policy covers personal data collected through our website, booking and enquiry forms, email, telephone, WhatsApp, PayPal transactions, and the delivery of our transport and travel services. External websites and services apply their own privacy terms.

3. Personal data we collect

Depending on your interaction with us, we may collect:

  • Identity and contact data: name, email address, telephone number, country, and preferred language.
  • Booking and travel data: requested service, dates and times, number of adult travellers, flight number and arrival details, pickup and drop-off locations, accommodation information, and service requests.
  • Communication data: enquiries, confirmations, amendments, complaints, and correspondence by email, telephone, or WhatsApp.
  • Transaction data: price, currency, payment method, payment status, refund information, and transaction reference. We do not receive or store your complete PayPal login or payment-card credentials.
  • Technical and usage data: IP address, browser and device information, page and referral information, approximate location derived from IP address, consent choices, and website-interaction events.
  • Transport permit and insurance documentation: only in the limited circumstances described below.

We do not offer bookings to children. The person making a booking must be at least 18 years old, and the website should not be used to submit a booking for a child.

We do not routinely collect health data, dietary information, dates of birth, or passport information through the website.

Passport images: important restriction

Passport images must not be uploaded through the Atum Trip website and must not be sent by email, WhatsApp, or any other messaging service.

If a competent authority, licensed transport provider, or insurer requires a passport image for a particular transport permit or insurance procedure, it will be requested only after the traveller has arrived in Egypt and only when that procedure is genuinely necessary. The traveller will then be told how to present the document directly and securely in person to the authorised representative handling the procedure.

Atum Trip does not use passport images for marketing, analytics, profiling, or any unrelated purpose.

4. How we collect data

We collect personal data:

  • Directly from you when you submit an enquiry or booking, contact us, or receive a service.
  • From an adult authorised to arrange travel on your behalf.
  • From drivers, licensed transport providers, PayPal, insurers, or competent authorities where necessary to administer a booking, transaction, permit, or insurance procedure.
  • Automatically through essential website technologies and, where required, only after consent through analytics technologies.

5. Why we use personal data and our lawful bases

Enquiries, quotations, and booking requests

We use contact and travel information to answer enquiries, check availability, prepare a quotation, and take requested steps before a contract is made.

Lawful basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract.

Confirming and delivering services

We use booking and travel information to confirm a service, coordinate the driver or provider, arrange airport reception, communicate changes, and deliver the service.

Lawful basis: performance of a contract.

Transport permits and insurance procedures

When genuinely required after the traveller has arrived in Egypt, a passport image may be inspected or provided in person for a specific transport permit or insurance procedure. It may be disclosed only to the authorised transport company, insurer, transport or tourism office, Egyptian Tourism Police, Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, or another competent Egyptian authority that requires it.

Lawful basis: performance of the requested contract, compliance with applicable legal or regulatory requirements, and legitimate interests in arranging authorised and appropriately insured transport. Where applicable law requires consent or an additional condition for identity-document processing, we will establish it before processing.

Payments and accounting

We use transaction information to confirm payment, reconcile accounts, administer refunds, and maintain legally required records.

Lawful basis: performance of a contract and compliance with legal obligations.

Customer service, complaints, and legal claims

We use booking and communication records to provide support, resolve complaints, and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

Lawful basis: performance of a contract and legitimate interests in customer service and protecting legal rights.

Website operation and security

We process necessary technical data to operate and protect the website, forms, and administrative accounts, prevent misuse, diagnose faults, and maintain availability.

Lawful basis: legitimate interests in operating and securing the website. Where device storage or access requires consent, we request consent.

Analytics

Where required, and only with your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand website use and improve our services.

Lawful basis: consent. Refusing or withdrawing analytics consent does not prevent use of essential website functions.

We do not currently send newsletters, conduct email marketing, use Google Ads, Meta Pixel, behavioural advertising, or remarketing.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

The website may use:

  • Strictly necessary technologies for security, consent storage, language preferences, form operation, and essential website functions.
  • Analytics technologies, including Google Analytics 4, only in accordance with the visitor’s consent choice where consent is required.
  • Google Tag Manager, which manages tags. Tag Manager is not a separate analytics service, but tags deployed through it may collect data and must respect this Policy and the visitor’s consent choice.

Atum Trip does not intentionally send names, email addresses, telephone numbers, booking details, payment information, or passport information to Google Analytics.

Visitors can accept, reject, or manage non-essential technologies through the consent banner and can later change or withdraw their choice through the cookie-settings control.

Our separate Cookie Policy should list the cookies and similar technologies actually detected on the website, including provider, purpose, duration, and category. That list may change when website components are updated; the published list must be regenerated or verified after material technical changes.

7. Who receives personal data

Where necessary, we may disclose the minimum relevant data to:

  • The driver responsible for airport pickup or transport.
  • Licensed transport companies.
  • Insurers involved in a requested service.
  • Transport and tourism offices, the Egyptian Tourism Police, the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, and other competent Egyptian authorities.
  • PayPal, when PayPal is used.
  • Website hosting, maintenance, security, backup, email, and communications providers.
  • Google, where analytics consent has been provided or where a customer independently uses Google Business Profile.
  • Accountants, insurers, lawyers, courts, regulators, and government bodies where necessary or legally required.

Drivers and providers must use booking data only to arrange and complete the relevant service, unless law requires otherwise. We do not sell personal data.

8. Cash and PayPal

The website records booking requests but does not process card payments itself. Payment is made later either in cash or through PayPal, as agreed in the booking confirmation.

When PayPal is selected, the customer interacts with PayPal’s independently operated service. PayPal determines how it processes payment credentials, identity information, device information, fraud-prevention data, and transaction data under its own privacy statement and terms. Atum Trip normally receives only the information needed to identify and reconcile the payment, such as payer name, email address, amount, currency, date, status, and transaction reference.

Cash payments do not require disclosure of payment-card or PayPal credentials. We may retain a receipt or accounting entry showing the amount, date, currency, booking reference, and payment status.

9. International transfers

Atum Trip operates from Egypt. Personal data provided by visitors in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom will therefore be processed in Egypt. PayPal, Google, WhatsApp, email, hosting, or other providers may also process information in other countries.

Where EU or UK data-protection law applies, we use an available legally recognised transfer mechanism where required, such as an adequacy decision, approved standard contractual clauses, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum, contractual and technical safeguards, or a legally permitted transfer necessary to perform or arrange a contract requested by the traveller.

10. Retention

Unless a longer period is required by law or a legal claim, we generally retain:

  • Uncompleted enquiries and quotations: up to 24 months after the last meaningful communication.
  • Booking, payment, and transaction records: up to seven years after the transaction or completed service, subject to tax and accounting requirements.
  • Customer-service and complaint records: up to six years after closure.
  • Consent records: for as long as necessary to demonstrate compliance.
  • Security and technical logs: normally up to 12 months, unless an incident requires longer.
  • Analytics data: according to the retention setting configured in Google Analytics and the visitor’s consent status.

Passport images

Passport images presented after arrival for a required permit or insurance procedure must be kept only for that procedure and the relevant journey. Atum Trip will not retain a website or messaging copy because those channels must not be used.

If Atum Trip or its authorised representative must temporarily retain a copy, it will normally be securely deleted or returned no later than 30 days after completion of the journey, unless a competent authority or applicable law requires a different period or it is needed for an incident or legal claim. Where practical, recipients are instructed to delete unnecessary copies after the authorised purpose is complete. A non-image permit or transaction record may be retained where legally necessary.

11. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, including access controls, encrypted website connections, software maintenance, backups, and limiting access to persons who need the data for an authorised purpose.

Identity documents are higher-risk data. They must not be submitted through the website or messaging channels and should be handled in person only after arrival, when required for the stated permit or insurance procedure.

No online service is completely secure. Please do not send unnecessary sensitive information.

12. Your rights

Depending on applicable law and circumstances, you may have rights to be informed; access, correct, or erase data; restrict or object to processing; receive certain data in a portable format; withdraw consent; object to direct marketing; and complain to an appropriate authority.

Rights may be subject to legal exceptions. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing lawfully undertaken before withdrawal.

To exercise a right, email atumtrip@gmail.com. We may request information reasonably necessary to verify identity. Where EU GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we normally respond within one month, subject to legally permitted extensions.

13. Complaints

Please contact us first so we can investigate. If EU GDPR applies, you may complain to the data-protection authority in the EEA country where you live, work, or believe an infringement occurred. If UK GDPR applies, you may complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at https://ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/. You do not have to contact us before approaching an authority.

14. Children

Atum Trip does not offer bookings to children and does not knowingly invite children to submit personal data. Bookings must be made by adults aged 18 or over. If we learn that a child submitted personal data without appropriate adult authority, we will take reasonable steps to delete it unless retention is legally required.

15. Automated decisions

Atum Trip does not make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects solely by automated processing.

16. Your responsibilities

You must provide accurate booking information and tell us when it changes. If you provide information about another adult traveller, you confirm that you are authorised to do so and have made this Policy available to that person.

Do not upload or send a passport image through the website, email, WhatsApp, or another messaging service. If one is genuinely required, wait until after arrival in Egypt and follow the in-person instructions given for the specific permit or insurance procedure.

17. External services

The website may link to PayPal, Google Business Profile, WhatsApp, social networks, or other external services. Those services independently control their processing. Review their privacy information before providing data to them.

18. EU and UK representatives

Atum Trip is established in Egypt and does not currently have an establishment in the European Union or United Kingdom. We will assess whether applicable law requires an EU representative, UK representative, or both. If an appointment is required, the representative’s details will be added to this Policy and provided to the relevant authorities.

19. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy to reflect changes in services, providers, technology, or law. The current version and revision date will appear on this page. Material changes will receive additional notice where required.
